Loki (ook Looki, Loke, Lopt of Loptr) is een god uit de Noordse mythologie.
Hij was een onruststoker die vaak van gedaante veranderde. Hij werd steeds boosaardiger en ten slotte sloten de goden hem op in een grot, met een giftige slang boven zijn hoofd. Hier zou hij blijven tot Ragnarok, het einde van de wereld.
Loki's rol wordt vooral geassocieerd met Odin, hetzij als diens gewillige evenknie, hetzij als zijn antagonist. Loki is een hypostasis van Odin en er zijn aanwijzingen dat Loki en Odin hun oorsprong hebben in een Indo-Europese prototype.
Het getal 13 als ongeluksgetal wordt beschouwd, is afgeleid van een sage rondom Loki waarin hij als 13e, niet uitgenodigde gast op een feest verschijnt en vervolgens de wereld in rouw dompelt.
Loki is de uitvinder van het visnet en wordt hiermee afgebeeld.
Hij wordt gevangengezet in een grot met een gifslang boven het hoofd.
